About Jodi

From the time she was a little girl, Jodi Weiss dreamed of being a writer—a dream that became the foundation for a life devoted to creativity, growth, and purpose. Writing came first, followed by running, yoga, and eventually a passion for helping others discover meaningful careers.

Jodi’s journey began in publishing, where she interned at The New Yorker and later spent a decade at McGraw-Hill, Golden Books, and The Princeton Review, holding roles from Managing Editor to Editorial Director. Along the way, she authored academic books for Random House/The Princeton Review and published short stories, essays, and articles featured in The Huffington Post, LinkedIn, and Ultrarunning Magazine. Her first novel, From Comfortable Distances, is available on Amazon.

For nearly twenty years, Jodi has led Korn Ferry’s Nonprofit and Higher Education Practice, partnering with mission-driven organizations to build transformative leadership teams. In 2016, she founded EverythingSmart, a platform dedicated to guiding individuals—from college students to executives—toward meaningful career paths.

Outside of work, Jodi is an adjunct professor of literature and creative writing, a devoted yogi for more than three decades, and an accomplished ultrarunner with over 100 ultramarathon finishes, including iconic races like Badwater 135 and Brazil 135.

She holds a BA in English from SUNY and both an MA in English and an MFA in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College.
